Let MET develop, streamline, and improve your separation processes, and make use of MET’s knowledge base in:

Good process development aims to improve the performance of manufacturing systems, for example through improving product quality and through reducing costs. MET can convert even the most difficult, speculative problem into a practical, efficient process. Our team of PhD-qualified chemical engineers have many years of relevant experience, from bench-top to plant scale, in the chemical, fine chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.

We take your problem or idea from an initial feasibility assessment at the lab scale, through process development and pilot scale testing, to full-scale production. Throughout, we work closely with our customers to understand where we can bring genuine value to them. We can also support safety, regulatory and patent needs.

When you come to MET with a problem, our first goal is to learn about your process needs. Close communication with your team means we can recognise what is the right thing for you. Then, by using our specialist know-how and the extensive laboratory and analytical facilities available to us, we ensure that we are working right to develop the best solution for your problem.
We are able to:

  • Develop or identify new processes for product manufacture;
  • Devise a research prototype in the laboratory, then scale it up to pilot production and then to full-scale commercial application;
  • Meet the requirements of all relevant legislation and safety regulations;
  • Plan, implement and supervise process trials in laboratories, pilot plants or production sites;
  • Work with product pipelines at different development stages;
  • Advise on required modifications of equipment to enable process changes for new product development;
  • Liaise with customers' in-house teams, including research scientists, engineers, and other technical staff, factory production teams, suppliers, contract manufacturers;
  • Generate ideas for your production based on reading and research.

Analytical facilities available at MET include: HPLC analysis, GC and GC-MS analysis, and NMR.
